Sean Pollard Presentation

Yesterday, our Year 9 and 11 students were lucky enough to hear from 2014 shark attack survivor Sean Pollard. Sean shared a recount of his traumatic shark attack experience whilst surfing in Esperance, where he lost his left arm and right hand, but miraculously survived the ordeal.

Sean's story is one of resilience, optimism and courage. He shared his incredible journey in overcoming the massive mental and physical hurdles which eventually led him to achieve his goal of competing in the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games in South Korea.

Sean delivered an inspiring presentation that captured what it is that allowed him to turn an incredible challenge into a positive outcome. Sean explained the importance of maintaining a positive outlook to build resilience through life's many hardships.

Thank you for the inspiring presentation, Sean! Our students have learnt a valuable lesson in courage and resilience
