Vinnies Sorting Day

On Wednesday 21 June, a group of Year 10 students were invited to help out at the St Vincent De Paul Society (Vinnies) warehouse in Canning Vale.

This was a valuable experience as students were spoken to by the Youth Engagement Officer and a number of Volunteers about the services that are provided throughout all of Western Australia.

Students were then taken to the warehouse where all blue Vinnies donation boxes are sent. Students sorted the donations by old and new. This will allow Vinnies to send them out to Op Shops quicker and in turn, allow them to help more people statewide.

Over this year, Vinnies have helped over 65,000 people, with the number expected to rise in the coming months. We look forward to continuing to help out St Vincent De Paul through our Christian Service Learning programs.
