Feast Day Celebrations

Last week, our College came together to celebrate one of the most significant days in our calendar — the annual Feast Day of Mother Teresa, our patron saint. It was a day filled with faith, community, and joy, and a reminder of the values that guide us as a College.

The celebrations began with a reverent and prayerful Mass led by Father Alexis. Students and staff joined together in worship, reflecting on the remarkable life of Mother Teresa and her commitment to serving others with humility, compassion, and love. Her message of selfless giving remains at the heart of our College, and the Mass provided a meaningful opportunity to pause, pray, and honour her legacy.

After Mass, the community shared a meal together — a much-loved sausage sizzle. Our wonderful support staff worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it a success, assisted by student leaders who served with smiles and energy. This moment of gathering over food highlighted the sense of belonging that Feast Day creates each year.

The day concluded with the always-anticipated Mini Fair, which spread across the campus and filled every corner with excitement. Students and families enjoyed a wide variety of stalls and activities, ranging from sweet treats and ice creams to games, plants, and novelties. Highlights included a silent disco, succulent stalls, and even a human “lucky fruit machine,” which proved to be a crowd favourite!

Beyond the fun, the fair reflected the true spirit of our College — community members working together for a greater purpose. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of students, staff, and families, the day raised almost $9,000 for charity. These funds will support those in need, furthering the mission of Mother Teresa and reminding us that small acts of kindness, when multiplied, can make a tremendous impact.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and spirit to make Feast Day 2025 such a memorable occasion. It was a wonderful reminder of who we are as a community: strong in faith and love, united in purpose, and committed to serving others.
