Basketball at Mother Teresa Catholic College

At Mother Teresa Catholic College, we are proud to offer a vibrant and growing basketball program that encourages teamwork, physical activity, and sportsmanship across all year levels. Our basketball teams compete in the Rockingham Flames Winter Domestic Competition, one of the most dynamic and well-supported leagues in the region.

The College currently has six basketball teams representing us in the 2025 winter season and looking to have more this coming summer season. These teams are made up of students across different year groups and are supported by a passionate group of coaches and team managers who are mostly parent volunteers. Games are played weekly at Mike Barnett Sports Complex and other local venues as scheduled by the Rockingham Flames.

Our basketball program promotes:

• Skill development through training sessions

• Participation and enjoyment for all levels of ability

• Representing the College with pride and integrity

• A sense of community and collaboration among players and families

How to Join

Basketball registrations typically open at the start of the Term for both the Winter and Summer seasons following response by completing the Expression of Interest(EOI) sent by the school via email. Students of all skill levels are encouraged to join. Information on trials, training days, and uniform requirements is communicated via the College emails, newsletter and Facebook page.
