MTCC Instrumental Music Program

Instrumental Music Program

The Mother Teresa Catholic College Instrumental Music Program provides students with the opportunity to explore, develop, and nurture their musical talents in a supportive and faith-filled environment.

Through high-quality tuition delivered by experienced specialist tutors, students are encouraged to grow not only as musicians, but as confident, creative, and disciplined learners. Music education plays an important role in a child’s holistic development, strengthening concentration, coordination, self-expression, and perseverance — skills that support learning across all areas of the curriculum.

At Mother Teresa Catholic College, our Instrumental Music Program is grounded in our commitment to a Christ-centred, child-focused education, where each student is known, valued, and supported. Students are guided to develop technical skill and musicianship while also building confidence, resilience, and a love of music that can extend well beyond their years at school.

The program is available to students from Year 3 to Year 12, with a range of instruments offered and lessons delivered on a rotating timetable designed to minimise disruption to classroom learning. Whether a student is beginning their musical journey or continuing to refine their skills, the program aims to foster both personal growth and musical excellence within a positive and respectful learning environment.
