Secondary School
Pathways to Purpose and Success
Years 7 to 12
A Journey of Growth and Opportunity
The Secondary School years at Mother Teresa Catholic College are a time of growth, opportunity, and future-building as students develop independence, confidence and a strong sense of purpose. Across Years 7 to 12, students are supported academically, socially, spiritually and emotionally as they transition from the foundations of Junior School into the senior years and prepare for life beyond the classroom.
Supporting Students Through Every Stage
We recognise that each stage of Secondary School brings new experiences and challenges. In the early years, students are guided through the transition into a more specialised learning environment where they begin building essential skills in organisation, time management, collaboration and independent learning. Strong pastoral care, mentoring opportunities, well-being initiatives and structured transition programs ensure students feel supported and connected throughout their journey.
Excellence, Pathways and Preparation
At Mother Teresa Catholic College, we believe in high expectations supported by strong guidance and care. Our dedicated educators work closely with students to monitor progress, set goals and provide personalised academic support. Career counselling, exam preparation workshops, university extension opportunities, industry partnerships and workplace learning experiences all help students build confidence and prepare for the next stage of their live, whether that be university, TAFE, apprenticeships, or employment.
Grounded in Faith and Values
Grounded in Catholic values, our Secondary School program also encourages students to grow as compassionate and community-minded young people. Through Religious Education, retreats, service learning, social justice initiatives and leadership opportunities, students are encouraged to reflect on their values, deepen their faith and recognise the importance of contributing positively to the world around them.
Partnering with Families and Preparing for the Future
We value the partnership between school and home and continue to work closely with families throughout the Secondary School journey. Through open communication, parent information evenings, student-led conferences and ongoing support networks, caregivers remain connected and involved as students grow into capable and resilient young adults. Our goal is to ensure every student leaves Mother Teresa Catholic College with the knowledge, skills, values and confidence to embrace their future with purpose and success.
